I have also noticed that there are some people who do not know how to wear it. I have known women and men who go over the top when it comes to gold jewelry by wearing too much at once. It is almost as though such people cannot leave the house without wearing every single item of jewelry that they happen to own. When I see gold jewelry worn in such a way I assume that the wearer thinks they have something to prove in terms of status. Personally I am much more low-key when it comes to wearing gold jewelry. I may wear a necklace with the matching earrings, but I will leave it at that. I also tend to favor jewelry that looks delicate and subtle. I do not generally like the kind of thick and chunky gold jewelry that some people seem to favor.  I want my jewelry to accent my clothing. I do not want it to be the first thing people see when they look at me.
