jewelry, gold jewelryI firmly believe that jewelry is one of the best gifts that can be given to a woman. I have several items of both silver and gold jewelry. I have had much of this jewelry for several years now. Of course I enjoy having a large collection of jewelry because it gives me more choices when I accessorize my clothing. However that is not why I think jewelry makes such a perfect gift. I think jewelry is great to give and receive simply because it is so durable. Other gifts only have a certain shelf life. Perfumes and cosmetics run out in time. Even electronic gifts start to malfunction after a certain amount of time, or they are rendered obsolete by newer technology. Clothing and shoes are also subject to wear and tear. Jewelry is the one gift a woman can keep wearing year in, year out. What’s more jewelry will always remind a woman of the person that gave it to her and make her think of them every time she wears it. I always remember the person who gave a particular item of jewelry to me every time I put it on.
