Gold Jewelry
My little brother won a bit of money playing the lottery. I have to say that I think he is maturing. In the past he would have spent the money on his car or video games. It would have been gone that day. He was smart this time. He paid that month’s mortgage and ordered his wife some gold jewelry. That weekend he used some of the remaining money to hire a babysitter and took his wife out for a night on the town. Ok, it was really just a dinner and a movie but is more than they had done since their baby was born. At dinner he gave his wife the gold jewelry and told her about winning the money. She was in shock at first. Not because he won, but because he took the opportunity to be responsible and loving at the same time. Something he has been working on for a long time. I am really glad he used some the money to give her some gold jewelry. It shows he has become a very smart man, with his priorities in the right place: family and home.
