I still can't believe that as of last night I was still waiting for the ladies watches that I ordered to arrive. Usually I am finished with my yearly birthday gift shopping spree way very early in the year. I'm one of those people who really love to shop and waiting until the last minute to order gifts is definitely not my thing. Somehow or another, the time got away from me this year, and last week I was ordering the last of the friends and relative birthday gifts, including the two ladies watches that I ordered. I wasn't even positive that I was going to have the ladies watches in house in time for the January birthdays, but sure enough, this morning, not long after I'd had breakfast, they were delivered. What a relief that was!

The ladies watches are for two very special people in my life. After the ladies watches were delivered, I took them to the kitchen where I wrapped them promptly. I am expecting mom to pop in this afternoon to pick up a few things I baked for her, and the last thing I want is for her to see the ladies watches and start asking questions. After all, I want them to be a total surprise. This year we're having dinner for my moms birthday at my sister's home. She's turning 60 this year. I'm really looking forward to having everyone together this year, since it has been quite a few since we've all been together under one roof. My brother and sister in law should also arrive the night before, and I think they're planning on staying with my sister. I hope that my sister in law isn't offended that I didn't buy one of the ladies watches for her. I love her dearly, but mom and my sister do so much for me, that I wanted to do something extra special for them. I would hate for her to not feel included because of the ladies watches.
